Where can I play my video?
Your video can be played on any computer with a SD card reader. Picture viewers, such as cameras or photo kiosks at Walmart, do not play video.
My video is not on the card. Where can I find it?
- First, insert your Bigfoot SD card into your computers SD card reader. Make sure the card has a good connection with the card reader.
- Double click on MY COMPUTER and you will see a “Removable Disk” icon. If you do not see this, close the MY COMPUTER folder then reopen it and the “Removable Disk” icon should appear. Double click the “Removable Disk” icon.
- Next, double click the folder icon “DCIM.” Next, double click the folder icon “GOPRO”. The “GOPRO” folder contains your video. To play your video, double click on a video file in the “GOPRO” folder.
What software do I play the video with?
- Windows Media Player or Movie Maker (download the latest HD-capable version and also download a H.264 decoder to update media or movie maker). CoreCodec CoreAVC is one company that offers a codec pack for h.264.
- VLC media player. Download this free video media player that supports .mp4 h.264 files: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
- For other PC based editing programs, we have had several customers give good reviews of the Pinnacle Studio HD editing software which is compatible with the MP4 files. Adobe Premier Elements PC based program that is compatible with MP4 files. If you have an existing program that does not support MP4 files, you also have the option of using a file conversion software such as Squared5 or VLC Media Player to convert your files into a format compatible with your particular editing program.
What format is the video?
The video is in MPEG4 (.mp4) format. This format can be played with most video players on your computer.

Where can I play my video?
Your video can be played on any computer with a DVD reader. The disc is not a DVD so it cannot be played in a DVD player, Blu-Ray player or smart TV’s.
- First, insert your disc into your computers disc slot.
- Double click on MY COMPUTER and you will see a “DVD Drive” icon. If you do not see this, close the MY COMPUTER folder then reopen it and the “DVD Drive” icon should appear. Double click the “DVD Drive” icon (it may auto-process it also).
- Next, double click the folder icon. The name of the folder should be the date of your tour. Example: “2015_08_15”. Double click on the folder. Your videos are in that folder.
Video FAQ’s:
- The video plays with Windows Media Player but it will not play the sound. To watch your videos with sound use VLC player which can be downloaded from this link: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html .
- Videos do not have copyright and can be posted online on social media sites such as Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo, etc.
- The format of the video is “.AVI”.
